Our Event Calendar

The Hume Veterans Golf Club runs a 12-month calendar of events for the enjoyment of its members.

Games are usually played on the first Monday of each month although this can vary depending on where public holidays fall and the occasional change of day because of availability of some golf courses.

Tee time for most of our games is 8 a.m. with a Shotgun Start. However, during the winter months of June, July and August, the start time is 9 a.m. 

$60 entry fee, for each event, gets you a game of golf and a hot lunch at a nice variety of courses.

A new venue this year for our annual grudge match against the Melbourne Vets. The Northern Golf Club, in Glenroy, was presented in good condition with excellent fairways and smooth greens that ran nicely.

A warm northerly wind made for challenging conditions, as the day progressed, and produced some tight matches. Once again, though, the talented Melbourne Veterans team was too good for us, winning the contest 11.5 matches to 8.5. Congratulations to them. We will be back next year to try again.
